Cancellation policy
No-show or termination after the commencement of the tour: No refund
On the day: No refund
Previous day: No refund
2-3 days prior to the tour: 50% refund
4 -10 days prior to the tour: 75% refund
11 days or more prior to the tour: 100% refund
Private Groups Only
All tours are private. Please note that travellers cannot join in other parties’ tours.
Private car
Optionally, private car with driver can be arranged.
Extra 40,000 – 60,000 yen will be required depending on duration and group size.
Liability waiver
Yamatora Tours and associated guides do not provide health and accident insurance for tour participants, and any medical expenses, property loss, or other personal expenditures that result during or from this travel/tour, are to be borne by the participants.

Traveller’s transportation costs
Traveller’s entry fees to gardens and temples
Lunch for guide and travellers for 6 hour-tour or longer.
Starting / finishing outside Kyoto City
When a tour is commenced or concluded outside Kyoto, such as Osaka, Nara or Kobe, an additional charge may be charged.
Starting or finishing in Umeda area (near JR Osaka Station), Osaka : 5,000 yen
Starting or finishing in Namba area (including Dotonbori), Osaka : 6,000 yen
Starting and finishing in Osaka : 10,000 yen
Intercity train fares during tours
Travellers are responsible for the guide’s intercity train fares during tours.
e.g. Train fares between Kyoto and Nara that are required during the tour.
Extended hours
When availability allows, travellers may extend the tour duration on the spot, on the day, based on the table above.
Alternatively, a 30-minute extension would be 3,000 yen.
Children age 6 or younger
Up to 2 children age 6 or younger free of charge. e.g. standard guiding fee is applied for a group of 4 adults with two 5-year old kids free. Children in strollers will not be counted when calculating fees.
Rescheduling policy
If availability allows, rescheduling may be possible.
Late commencement
Please note: Tour start and finish times are set in advance. In the case that travellers cannot make it to the meeting place on time, the tour will still finish at the previously scheduled time.
